Where we can pass on landscaping requests
We take requests from across the City of Greater Geelong, the Surf Coast Shire and the Borough of Queenscliffe. We aim to pass your request to a local landscaper within one business day. The landscaper, who works in your area, then contacts you about a quote.
Some suburbs have their own local guide covering the planning overlays, soils, flood risk and housing that shape a garden there. They are linked below. If your suburb is not listed, we can still take your request.
Two planning schemes
Greater Geelong suburbs and the Bellarine towns fall under the Greater Geelong Planning Scheme; Torquay, Jan Juc and Anglesea fall under the Surf Coast Planning Scheme. Each has its own overlays for trees, fences and bushfire, so the same garden can need a permit in one town and not the next. The Bellarine Peninsula and the Surf Coast are both declared distinctive areas and landscapes under Victorian planning law.
